Jesus Christ calls us to be a joyful community that celebrates God's love, transforms lives, and is a force for justice in the world.

Sunday Morning Forum

September 9: Welcome Back Sunday – Come to the South Courtyard to find out about this fall’s education opportunities for all ages.
September 16: Big Coffee – Enjoy a yummy treat & even more enjoyable conversation. Feel free to bring some treats if you’d like.
September 23: Casa Maria sandwich making – Join this intergenerational service activity in the Geneva Hall kitchen as we prepare sandwiches and lunches for our siblings at the Casa Maria Catholic Worker Community.
September 30: Jewish Voices for Peace Sukkot with Deborah Maayan – Sukkot is the joyful harvest celebration during the full moon that follows the intense work of reflection and amends of the Jewish High Holy Days. We gather in a fragile impermanent “home”— a structure with a roof that we see the sky through. Thefocus on “home” is key in work on border issues, as is the Sukkot practice of hospitality, of welcoming the stranger into the sukkah. JVP-Tucson draws connections between US/Mexico/O’odham and Israel/Palestine resistance to border militarization. Join us in the North Courtyard for this unique opportunity!

Discipleship Hour

Starting September 6th at 6:00 PM in the Chapel, join Pastor Bart Smith and Director of Faith Formation Bailey Pickens each Thursday evening in digging in to issues of faith, including but not limited to what faith is, who Jesus is, how to read the Bible, and what Christian community can be. Sometimes our best learning is from each other; please come and share your heart and mind. Skeptics, contrarians, and true believers welcome with open arms! Childcare (both nursery for wee ones and music and play for older children) and snacks will be provided.
