Sunday morning formation for children and youth creative exploration with Biblical literacy and age-appropriate engagement with big questions and major themes of the Christian faith.  Young people spend the formation hour in class with a teacher, reading scripture, playing games, and pondering questions together.

Children’s Church

Youth up to 5th grade are invited to participate in Children’s Church every other Sunday during worship. After the Passing of the Peace, children will be led out for a short Bible lesson and craft. Older children are also invited to serve as helpers. For more info, contact Cathy Lurvey.

Children in Worship

Children of all ages are welcome in worship! We know that babies and young children make noise—it’s all part of the joyful sound we offer to God. There is an art and activity table for people of all ages at the back of the Sanctuary to occupy energetic minds and hands. There is also a quiet room just off the Sanctuary for nursing parents. Our nursery is also open during the service.

St. Mark’s welcomes children and families’ contributions to worship as well! The Children’s Moment gives our youngest members their own time with Pastor Bart, and our ushers are happy to coach children and youth in helping greet visitors and collect the offering. If you or your family are interested in getting involved in the service, please reach out to Bart Smith.

Youth and Family Ministry

Our youth ministry offers a variety of events and experiences for both middle and high school youth, including fellowship, service, inter-generational activities, and spirituality. For more information, contact our Pastor Bart Smith.
